American Foreign Policy through the Lens of Rawl'sTheory of Justice: Revisiting the Liberal Attitude towards the Israeli-Palestinian Issue Post Oslo

The subject of social justice was and still is a demand and obsession of human societies and the aspiration and dream of many philosophers and political theorists, who presented a comprehensive vision on this subject through his books on politics, in which he directed his harsh criticism of the utilitarian trend that only concerned By focusing on the public good without concern for the rights of minorities. Rawls ‘s principles of justice as assume an original situation in which complete equality prevails within the group that will agree on those principles. Complete equality in an original situation means a situation in which class divisions, exploitation or class privileges do not exist. The strength and persistence of civic activities, throughout the history of the United States, in pursuit of justice. However, our influence and moral authority to move forward in spreading and strengthening democracy around the world have weakened as a result especially towards the Palestinian people exerted by the American foreign policy. The United States became the first country to recognize Israel on May 14, 1948, when President Harry Truman issued a statement of recognition following Israel's declaration of independence. The United States participates with Israel in high-level mutual operations, including military exercises, and weapons development.

Critical Thinking: A Prerequisite for professional development among University Teachers

This abstract examines the critical role of critical thinking (CT) as an indispensable competency for the professional growth of university educators, emphasizing its transformative impact on pedagogical practices and student learning. Drawing on contemporary educational frameworks, the study explores how CT development enables teachers to design innovative instructional strategies—such as problem-based learning, collaborative inquiry, and reflective mentorship—that foster analytical skills in diverse academic contexts. The analysis highlights how CT training empowers educators to navigate complex classroom dynamics, adapt to evolving educational technologies, and cultivate inclusive learning environments that bridge cultural and disciplinary divides. Challenges such as balancing standardized curricula with creative teaching methods and addressing institutional resistance to pedagogical experimentation are critically evaluated. The paper underscores the necessity of systemic support mechanisms, including institutional policies that prioritize CT-focused professional development programs, peer-learning networks, and leadership initiatives promoting teacher autonomy. By positioning CT as a cornerstone of educator competence, this research advocates for reimagining professional development models to equip university teachers with the adaptive reasoning and problem-solving skills required in 21st-century higher education. The findings align with global educational priorities, particularly those emphasizing CT as a catalyst for innovation in teaching practices

Difficulties of conducting scientific experiments in physics in the middle school stage from the point of view of the physics professor

The present study aims to investigate the challenges encountered by physics educators in conducting scientific experiments during the middle school stage, as perceived by the educators themselves. Additionally, it seeks to analyze the differences in the assessment of these difficulties based on gender and teaching experience. Employing a descriptive analytical methodology, a questionnaire comprising 37 items was developed, organized into three dimensions, and its psychometric properties were thoroughly validated for both reliability and validity. The study sample consisted of 52 physics professors from various middle schools within the region, selected through a simple random sampling technique. The findings indicated that educators experience moderate challenges in executing scientific experiments in physics. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were observed in the average assessments regarding these difficulties, attributed to the gender variable. In contrast, no significant differences were found when considering the variable of teaching experience. These insights underscore the necessity for targeted interventions to enhance the experimental teaching practices in physics, thereby improving educational outcomes.

The European Arteries To Africa: Egypt And Algeria’s Transport Strategies Between Competition And Cooperation.

This research examines the financing and collaboration approaches for transportation and logistics infrastructure projects in Algeria and Egypt, using a document analysis method. The study finds that both countries use a mix of funding sources, including public-private partnerships and foreign aid, but with different emphasis, as Egypt relies more on foreign aid while Algeria uses more of its own resources. The priorities of transportation and logistics infrastructure projects also vary between the two countries, with Algeria focusing on road and rail infrastructure, and Egypt on ports and airports. Despite the potential for increased collaboration in trade facilitation and regional integration, political instability, bureaucratic barriers, and regulatory framework differences present challenges. This study contributes to the existing literature on transportation and logistics infrastructure financing in developing countries and provides insights into the specific context of Algeria and Egypt. However, further research is recommended to examine the sustainability of financing mechanisms and the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between the two countries.

On the Digitization of Translation: Practices and Challenges in EFL Context

Translation continues to be a critical variable across languages, cultures and speech situations.
Quality translation is the medium through which thinkers, leaders and educators transfer and
safely exchange knowledge, ideas, and policies. However, in advanced times of the digital age,
demands of translation have spanned to the fore as technology has dethroned old-fashioned
approaches to almost all tasks and activities; this firmly includes foreign language education.
This paper revolves around researching university teachers’ practices and challenges of a
digitized translation in EFL context. It also attempts to address future perspectives on translation
and digitization in education. To bring about the paper’s rationale, an online Practices and
Challenges Translation Questionnaire (PCTQ) will be distributed on 60 EFL university teachers
across Algeria to cite their feedback on the topic under investigation. In addition to the PCTQ, a
structured interview is designed to access EFL students’ perceptions and uses of a digitized
translation in the same context. The data gathered will be analyzed and discussed within the
realm of other findings in the same area of research. This, in the pursuit of adding, supporting
and/or contradicting the existing stipulations on the digitization of translation in the EFL context.

A COURSE OF AMERICAN AND BRITISH CIVILIZATIONS DESIGNED FOR SECOND YEAR LMD STUDENTS

This module offers the students of the English Language at the University of Msila an overview of the British and American experiences from cultural and historical perspectives. It deals with a variety of different topics like the Magna Carta and the US Bill of rights, the geography of both countries, and the most noteworthy people in their histories. The learning outcomes of this module will help students to develop the confidence necessary in debating major themes in American and British civilizations such as the “exceptionalism” of both “Empires,” by critically analyzing their experiences and identifying faulty assumptions about them. The module will also reinforce the study skills, such as writing and oral presentations.

The Dad Joke Syndrome: How Shifting Power Dynamics are affecting the Subversivness of Feminist Humor

Humor's subaltern power to subvert hierarchies has been utilized by several
marginalized groups to target unjust power structures. However, contemporary feminist calls
to reshape this art form into their own image might hinder its efficacy. This study aims to
investigate the extent to which the political and ideological incentives to combat negative
stereotypes and to develop an original theory of comedy is diminishing the quality and the
subversiveness of feminist humor. To test this hypothesis a thematic analysis of several lists
of feminist jokes was employed. These lists were divided into two major categories: jokes
that were labeled as inclusive by feminist standards and the other category involved jokes
with ridicule and self-deprecation content. The results show that lists that fit the description
of inclusivity for feminists fail to meet the characteristics of subversive humor because they
are only enjoyed by feminist themselves and their sympathizers. When the creators of these jokes
resorted to traditionally male comedic tactics such as ridicule and self-deprecation they
succeeded in meeting those characteristics. These results suggest that feminist humor’s
diminishing subversiveness is due to a combination of a shift in social and political power
dynamics in favor of feminism and the over stressing on inferring ideological messages at the
expense of the aesthetics of humor.

THE EUROPEAN ARTERIES TO AFRICA: Egypt and Algeria's transport Strategies between Competition and Cooperation

In 2015, both Algeria and Egypt embarked on ambitious plans to expand and upgrade their
logistics and transportation infrastructure in order to attract global and European investments.
Each country had its own approaches and priorities concerning the type of projects, the financing
formulas and the objectives behind them. This disparity in approaches and priorities created
heavy burdens on both countries' economies, but at the same time provided each nation with a
competitive edge over the other. The Egyptian approach, characterized by expediency and
aggressiveness, brought immediate results when it came to FDI numbers (Foreign Direct
Investment); however, it left the financial health of the country and its credit in ruins. The
Algerian measured and self-funded approach delayed its ascension to the Egyptian status as a
transportation and logistics hub, but its positive financial credit gave it a competitive edge.
Energy and tourism were important factors in determining strong and weak points for both
countries as they are simultaneously facilitators and rationales for expanding transportation
infrastructure. Despite short term benefits of dominating the access from and to the African
continent, this work argues that a complementary cooperation between the two largest Arab
countries in Africa in terms of population (Egypt) and land surface (Algeria) would outweigh
any potential competition in terms of benefits. This work concluded that a complementary
cooperative relationship can be achieved by adopting a unified vision, in particular in the energy
transportation sector, especially during the European energy crisis.

The Unintended Consequences of Anti-Patriarchy Campaigns: Hierarchies of Competence in the Age of Feminist Mobilization

The notion of gender hierarchy and the inherent dichotomy of competence versus equality have been rarely dealt with objectivity in the field of social sciences. This paper examines the legitimacy of the feminist theory to question and eventually seek the destruction of what they labeled as the historical patriarchal hierarchy, and the pushback of certain academics in the fields of sociology and psychology namely through the theory of power. The aim of this paper is to explore the historical paradigmatic shifts that affected the concept of gender hierarchy in the West. This paper suggests that there are two historical paradigms, within which, two mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive scenarios for explaining the evolution and causes of western hierarchies in general and those pertaining to gender in particular. It
also suggests that these historical paradigms will compete to construe and eventually prescribe policies regarding the structure of gender hierarchies in the West. This paper contends that legitimate concerns of sex-based discrimination might lead to illegitimate demands that might damage existing hierarchies based on competence.

Feminism’s Last Frontier in the Quest for Social Theory: American Stand-up in the Age of Political Correctness

The socio-cultural status of stand-up comedians allowed them to comment with impunity on
sensitive social issues, giving them the ability to normalize and abnormalize certain societal
behaviors and beliefs. This Foucaultian social tool attracted the use of many historically
disenfranchised groups on the merits of sexuality and race. Feminists noted a gender
discrepancy in pay and appearance in the hierarchy of this industry and attributed it to systemic
flaws, not just with the industry but with humor’s theoretical and conceptual structures. The aim
of this research work is to assess the impact of their ideological quest for a new theory of humor
on the integrity of American stand-up comedy. The application of Peterson’s “Political Correctness
Game” framework suggests that there are possible ulterior motives behind calls to change the
foundational structure of American stand-up. The problem that this paper attempts to address is
whether calls for inclusivity in the framework of intersectionality theory in humor can be
characterized as a legitimate call to limit, what the feminist labeled, as acts of hubris and
humiliation against victimized minorities? Or are these calls permeating into dangerous social and
even legal territories, where comedians’ rhetoric is regulated and their artistic freedom is infringed
upon? This paper contended that feminist calls for a new theory of humor derived from
intersectionality lens would only create “echo chambers” of already like-minded
individuals, rather than exerting social change through the subaltern social power that can be
generated from stand-up humor.
