A New 6D Hyperchaos-Based Medical Image Encryption Scheme Using k-Fibonacci Numbers

In the era of information technology, hospitals, medical centers, doctors and health specialists share millions of images. Securing these images is essential to maintaining patients’ privacy. Several cryptographic algorithms are implemented to meet the increasing demands of transmission systems. As a contribution to securing these data, we propose a novel robust and efficient algorithm. We randomly generate numbers from a six-dimensional hyperchaotic system and Arnold’s cat map to confuse the original images. The confused images are then diffused using a k-Fibonacci matrix. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated using several parameters tested on a set of reference images of different sizes and modalities. The obtained results are conclusive and the performances are excellent, sometimes exceeding those found by other recent algorithms proposed in the literature.

Simulation Analysis of a Phased Array Filter for 50GHz Optical Telecommunications Networks

This research concerns the simulation of an Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) optical filter with a phased array structure, intended for optical multiplexing-demultiplexing of signals widely used in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM). We simulated a model of a 16-channel phased array filter using the BeamProp simulator in the Rsoft CAD software. The simulation results allowed us to implement a model of an integrated optics filter Operating at the third window of 1550nm optical transmissions, with 50GHz spacing channel compatible with multiplexed telecommunications networks.

Biocompatible, Implantable tri-band PIFA Antenna for Biomedical Applications

In this paper, a biocompatible tri-band inverted F antenna was proposed for wireless data telemetry and power transmission operation. This antenna will be implanted in human body. This surrounding medium witch having the properties of biological tissues will be considered. The proposed antenna covers three bands: MedRadio (401 – 405)MHz, and ISM (902.8 – 928)MHz, and ISM (2.4 – 2.5) GHz. The antenna is inserted in the biological tissue, The dimensions of the proposed antenna are 16 × 11 × 1.27mm3. The presented antenna is printed on Roger RO3210 substrate with dielectric constant 𝛆 𝐫 = 𝟏𝟎. 𝟐 and 𝐭𝐚𝐧𝛅=0.003

Parametric study of a triangular microstrip antenna with PBG substrate

The main objective of our work is to study the resonance characteristics of a triangular microstrip antenna with 2D Photonic Gap Band (PGB) substrate. We study the influence of different parameters of this antenna: the dimensions of the patch, PBG substrate height and permittivity, the diameter and the different networks of holes

Parametric Analysis by Simulation of Bragg Gratings and Their Application as a Sensor

In this research paper, the impact of an opto-geometric fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is theoretically studied through simulation using the Rsoft Photonics CAD software's Grating Mod module, which is based on the coupled mode theory. Furthermore, the FBG is an optical component that plays a growing role in instrumentation. Moreover, its structure is based on a modification of the refractive index of the fiber core. Besides, the influence of several parameters, such as grating period, its length, its index difference, was presented and examined. The simulation results obtained show that the Bragg wavelength of the network shifts and changes its value following a change in one of its parameters. This means that the sensitivity of the FBG is considerable. However, because of the insensitivity to electromagnetic disturbances and the small size, which is suitable for that of the arteries, the adjustment of the FBG reflection characteristics under the action of a quantity is used to create miniaturized and sensitive sensors which are useful in medicine.

Study and Performance Optimization of an Integrated Mach-Zehnder Modulator for Optical Telecommunications

The fundamental properties of an optical modulator are theoretically examined in this research using simulation models. The device under study is an active component of integrated optics; it has an interferometer with parallel waveguides and couplers in an S-Bend as its structural components.The Beamprob simulator incorporated into the Rsoft program is employed to continue the performance evaluation of the MZI (Mach Zehnder Inteferometer). Following the application of the polarization voltage, the material in one of the waveguides' arms' nonlinear effects causes a phase shift.The influence of several parameters, such as the length of the arms, the gap (inter-electrode distance), and the coefficient of non-linearity, was presented.We examined how the different output intensities fluctuated in order to use this device for optical modulation so that the area where the signal was most utilized could be identified.

Analysis and Design of Dual-Band Frequency High Gain FSS Microstrip Antenna ‏

n this work, a frequency selective surface superstrat dual-band microstrip antenna is proposed. In order to enhance the antenna's gain, the FSS layer is obtained via a periodic arrangement of 5x8 unit motifs in the x-y axis. The FSS layer acts as a reflection surface on the patch, increasing the antenna's gain at higher frequencies. The rectangular patch with a slot and full ground plane is used to create the dual-band antenna.Ours results indicate that the proposed design improves gain and directivity, and it could be used for high gain and wideband systems in the 5G applications.

Novel high-gain and compact UWB microstrip antenna for WIFi, WIMAX, WLAN, X band and 5G applications

In this paper, we use a new technique to improve the gain and the bandwidth of a small size ultra-wide-band (UWB) circular microstrip antenna. The technique is based on a non-uniform microstrip line feed width and using a partial rectangular ground plane. The compact structure is printed on the economical FR4 substrate material with a relative permittivity 4.4 and loss tangent 0.02 with a degree of miniaturization 39.3 × 30 × 1.6 mm3 compatible with the integration technology of components in communications systems architecture.
The proposed antenna is simulated and optimized using electromagnetic simulators high frequency structure simulator, results show a good characteristics and radiating behavior within the UWB frequency. The simulated results established that our design has a very important gain (10 dB), and huge bandwidth: from 2.74 to 76.83 GHz for return loss S11 < − 10 dB and covered multi-band for many applications such as: wireless fidelity system, wireless local area network: operate within the UWB band, worldwide interoperability for microwave access, the 5th generation mobile network (5G). The measured antenna parameters are presented and discussed, confirming the simulation results in the interval [0.1, 20]GHz using ZNB 20 vector network analyser 100 KHz–20 GHz

Elliptic Curve Cryptography for Medical Image Security

To contribute to medical data security, we propose the application of a modified algorithm on elliptical curves (ECC), initially proposed for text encryption. We implement this algorithm by eliminating the sender-receiver lookup table and grouping the pixel values into pairs to form points on a predefined elliptical curve. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm offers the best compromise between the quality and the speed of cipher / decipher, especially for large images. A comparative study between ECC and AlGamel showed that the proposed algorithm offers better performance and its application, on medical images, is promising. Medical images contain many pieces of information and are often large. If the cryptographic operation is performed on every single pixel it will take more time. So, working on groups of pixels will be strongly recommended to save time and space.

An Adaptive Sigmoidal Activation Function for Training Feed Forward Neural Network Equalizer

Feed for word neural networks (FFNN) have attracted a great attention, in digital communication
area. Especially they are investigated as nonlinear equalizers at the receiver, to mitigate channel distortions and
additive noise. The major drawback of the FFNN is their extensive training. We present a new approach to
enhance their training efficiency by adapting the activation function. Adapting procedure for activation function
extensively increases the flexibility and the nonlinear approximation capability of FFNN. Consequently, the
learning process presents better performances, offers more flexibility and enhances nonlinear capability of NN
structure thus the final state kept away from undesired saturation regions. The effectiveness of the proposed
method is demonstrated through different challenging channel models, it performs quite well for nonlinear
channels which are severe and hard to equalize. The performance is measured throughout, convergence
properties, minimum bit error achieved. The proposed algorithm was found to converge rapidly, and accomplish
the minimum steady state value. All simulation shows that the proposed method improves significantly the
training efficiency of FFNN based equalizer compared to the standard training one.

Nonuniform Circular Array Synthesis for Low Side Lobe Level Using Dynamic Invasive Weeds Optimization.

The use of invasive weeds optimization in the synthesis of antenna arrays has become popular in the last few years. This optimization method is robust, simple and can be easily improved. Like other stochastic algorithms, IWO suffers from premature convergence and other drawbacks. To overcome these problems, a dynamic IWO is proposed and used for synthesizing two antenna array topologies (linear and circular array). This proposed method tries to achieve an optimal array pattern by acting on the amplitude excitation of elements in the non-uniform circular array and their positions on the array to obtain an array pattern with deep nulls in some directions of interferences and low side lobe level. For the linear array, the nulls control can be achieved by acting on the relative amplitude excitation of each element in the array for an optimal inter-element spacing. This proposed method improves the performance greatly and allows to achieve a maximum reduction in side lobe level in band Nulls with an acceptable dynamic range ratio (DRR). To show the performance of the proposed method, for each topology, our results are compared to other results of the literature.

A Dual Band Four Ports WILKINSON Power Divider Design

In the present paper, a dual band four-way Wilkinson power divider (WPD) using a genetic algorithm (GA) optimization is designed and simulated using ADS Momentum simulator. The proposed power divider is developed to support dual bands of WLAN applications. The present power divider is formed by many transmission lines sections. The transmission lines are printed on FR4 (Flame Resistant 4) substrate of dielectric constant εr of3.4 with loss tangent of 0.0023. The proposed circuit exhibits good characteristics at WLAN frequencies (2.45GHz & 5.8 GHZ) in terms of return loss and isolation.

The spectral Domain approach is extensively used in microstrip analysis and domain. In such approach, the spectral dyadic Green's function which relates the tangential electric field and currents at various conductor planes should be determined. Many techniques have been proposed to derive the Green's function. The effect of both uniaxially anisotropy in the substrate on the resonant frequency and bandwidth of circular microstrip patch are investigated. The problem is regorously formulated using integral equation, the Kernel of which in the full wave spectral domain dyadic Green's function for multilayer dielectric substrates.

Effects of Superstrate Layer on the Resonant Characteristics of Annular-Ring printed Antenna

In practice, it was found that the choice of the substrate or superstrate material of printed antennas is of a great importance and plays a significant role in achieving the optimum resonant characteristics of the antenna; Uniaxial dielectrics have drawn more attention due to their availability in materials such as sapphire, boron nitride and Epsilam-10 ceramic-impregnated Tefon. Previous studies of anisotropic materials used in microwave devices indicate that the effects of anisotropy on the performance of such structures particularly in high frequencies cannot be ignored.
Three very popular full wave methods that can be used to characterise microstrip patch antennas are: the finite element method, the finite difference time domain method, and the moment method. The last one also known as the full-wave method is arguably the most popular method for the analysis of microstrip antennas.
In this work, resonant characteristics (the resonant frequency, the Half-power bandwidth) of an annular microstrip patch printed on uniaxially anisotropic substrate and covered with an anisotropic superstrate layer are studied using an electric field integral equation and the spectral domain Green’s function. In order to validate the present method, we have confronted our results with theoretical and experimental data from the literature and very Good agreements were obtained between our computed data and measurements, and the convergence of the method is proven.

Resonant Characteristics of Circular HTC Superconducting Printed AntennaCoveredwith a Dielectric Layer

Effects of a superstrate layer on the resonant frequency and bandwidth of a high Tc superconducting (HTS) circular printed patch are investigated in this paper. For that, a rigorous full-wave spectral analysis of superconducting patch in multilayer configuration is described. In such an approach, the spectral dyadic Green's function which relates the tangential electric field and currents at various conductor planes should be determined. Integral equations are solved by a Galerkin's moment method procedure, and the complex resonance frequencies are studied with basis functions involving Chebyshev polynomials in conjunction with the complex resistive boundary condition. To include the superconductivity of the disc, its complex surface impedance is determined by using London's equation and the model of Gorter and Casimir. Numerical results are compared with experimental results of literature as well as with the most recent published calculations using different methods. A very good agreement is obtained. Finally, superstrate loading effects are presented and discussed showing interesting enhancement on the resonant characteristics of the superconducting antenna using combinations of Chebyshev polynomials as set of basis functions.

In this paper, the effects of both the anisotropic substrate and isotropic protecting dielectric superstrate loading on the resonance and bandwidth of a high Tc superconducting circular microstrip in a substrate-superstrate configuration are investigated. The problem is rigorously formulated using integral equation, the kernel of which is the full-wave spectral domain dyadic Green’s function for multilayer dielectric substrates. Using Galerkin’s moment method to solve the integral equation, the complex resonance frequencies are studied with basis functions involving Chebyshev polynomials in conjunction with the complex resistive boundary condition.

IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCES OF A HIGH TC SUPERCONDUCTING CIRCULAR MICROSTRIP ANTENNA WITH MULTILAYERED CONFIGURATION AND ANISOTROPIC DIELECTRICS

The moment method technique has been improved to investigate the scattering properties of high Tc superconducting circular antennas with anisotropic substrate in multi-layered conflguration. In this method, the electric fleld integral equation for a current element on a grounded dielectric slab of inflnite extent was developed by basis functions involving Chebyshev polynomials. An improved analytical model is presented taking into account anisotropic substrate, superconducting material for the circular patch and multilayered structure.
To validate the theoretical results, an experimental study has been performed for a perfectly conducting circular patch on a single layer, with and without air gap. Good agreements were obtained between our theory and measurements. Efiects of temperature and thickness of a superconducting fllm are also reported and discussed. The performances of high Tc superconducting circular antennas were improved by the use of uniaxial anisotropy substrate and multilayer conflguration.
