Application of Fuzzy Logic in Society

Fuzzy logic, a branch of artificial intelligence, has found widespread
application in various fields, making it an integral part of modern society.
This technology is built upon the concept of uncertainty and imprecision,
allowing it to handle complex and ambiguous situations with remarkable
efficiency. In this presentation, we will explore the extensive applications of
fuzzy logic in society, focusing on its role in improving human-machine
interaction.

Fuzzy Ideals and Fuzzy Filters on Topologies Generated by Fuzzy Relations

Recently, Mishra and Srivastava have introduced and studied the notion of fuzzy topology
generated by fuzzy relation and several properties were proved. In this paper, we mainly investigate the
lattice structure of fuzzy open sets in this topology, and show its various properties and characteristics.
Additionally, we extend to this lattice the notions of fuzzy ideal and fuzzy filter. For each of these
notions, we fully characterize them in terms of this lattice meet and join operations.

Type-1 and Type-2 fuzzy Sets to Control a Nonlinear Dynamic System

This paper is related to the simulation, in Matlab environment, of a robot manipulator
controlled by both type-1 and interval type-2 fuzzy controllers, in which a modification in
Karnik-Mendel algorithm has been proposed. To calculate the output of interval type-2 fuzzy
system there is a main step called type-reduced; this operation is based on Karnik-Mendel
algorithm, which uses arithmetic mean to calculate the control output. In this work, we propose
to change the arithmetic mean by harmonic one. The performances of modified interval type-
2 controller and type-1 fuzzy controller with and without noises are compared in terms of
integral of squared error. The proposed modification in type reduction of Karnik-Mendel
algorithm for interval type-2 fuzzy set shows best performance. Indeed, the amount of error in
case of modified interval type-2 fuzzy controller is less two times than type-1 fuzzy controller.

Effect of Sinusoidal Thermal Boundary Condition on Natural Convection in a Cavity Filled with Cu-Water Nanofluid

This paper summarizes a numerical study of natural convection in a square cavity filled with water based nanofluid (water with Cu particles). The cavity used for flow and heat transfer analysis has been bounded by adiabatic top wall, constant temperature cold vertical walls and a horizontal bottom wall. The bottom wall is subjected to uniform and sinusoidal varying temperatures. The nanofluid is assumed to be incompressible and the flow is considered to be laminar. Calculations were performed for Rayleigh number (103 ≤ Ra ≤ 10 5) and volume fraction of nanoparticles (0 ≤  ≤ 0.1). Results are presented in the form of stream lines, isotherm plots and average Nusselt numbers. It is observed from this study that the uniform temperature at the bottom wall gives higher Nusselt number compared to the sinusoidal varying temperature case for  =0, 0.05 and 0.1 for bottom wall. For a given Rayleigh number an increase of volume fraction of nanoparticles causes an increase of the mean Nusselt number, but this increment is high for the case of constant temperature.
